Local Roots: The Fender Benders and the Astoria Music Scene
Astoria and Clatsop County have supported a small but persistent live music scene for decades, particularly across roots, country, rockabilly, blues, and Americana styles.
The Fender Benders are part of that longer continuum.
The band is made up of longtime North Oregon Coast musicians Hamil Brown, Colby Lennon, Ian Kabanuk, and Jason Hall, whose collective involvement in the Astoria and North Coast music scene spans more than twenty years.
Today, The Fender Benders carry that shared history forward as an active Astoria-based band, continuing to perform across the North Oregon Coast.
